One thing I always, alwaysalwaysalways buy if I see them when I'm out thrifting is embroidery hoops. They are so multi-purpose that I don't mind have 7 or 8 in my apartment taking up space.I don't know how many of you reading are crafty folks but in the past two or three years swatches of fabric on the wall in embroidery hoops has been used as an easy way to create cheap and cute wall decor.

I have to admit, I don't actually know that this is vintage. I do know that I bought it at a thrift store. It is in a bit better condition than many of the other thrift-store purses. It's also a bit longer than most of my handbag collection which is nice. I believe it has an off-white/tan plastic liner with a small, zippered pocket inside. I like the faux snake look. Yesterday President Obama signed a proclamation honoring Cesar Chavez on March 31st, his birthday. Several states already recognized Cesar Chavez's birthday as a holiday/time for reflection but now it's reached a higher level.
