... Aaaand I'm Back

A little vacation time is good. I went fishing with the padre nearly every morning and evening. I caught nothing. The views were generally spectacular though. I went with my mother on a little photography sight-seeing trip. Which went pretty well until I got tired and angry at the cameras we had along. I was an idiot and forgot to bring my battery charger for my camera which promptly ran out of juice about three photos after I arrived. So I used a couple of my parents' cameras but one was a point and shoot with weird settings (hate the automatic flash) and the other was an ancient something-or-other that I couldn't get the hang of. My photos are not up to snuff. This is frustrating. But you do what you can, right?

Why I Keep Him Around

I'm in the midst of grading hell. I hate that I suspect my students of plagiarism. And yet, it is there. All over their papers. And I spend ages researching word combinations. Then I start grading angry. One should not grade angry. I'm also sure that a few of them probably shouldn't be in my program. It's intense. Not for those who need the accountability of classes more than once a week or longer times to process information. No, we hit the ground running and boy, do we run. It is not for everyone.
