Thrifting Thursday

Another thing I made recently was this little house. It was inspired by a few house quilts I've been seeing around the internet lately as well as an ornament that was made at a Craft Social a year or so ago. But I think that one was much better planned. Fewer pieces, less sewing, etc. I think it's rather wonky and cute and it would be fun to have a little village of them. But it was a significant amount of work and I probably won't make an entire village of them.
So I stuck it on a shelf and it seems to be happy there. And since this is Thrifting Thursday, right next to my little house is one of my favorite thrift-found milk glass vases. I love the shift in color from clear to opaque and the hobnail texture of it. I didn't check to see if it has any maker marks before I posted this. If it does I'll update.

The books are also all thrift finds. Who doesn't love a pretty, old book? That top one is particularly fetching with its fancy floral cover.

The polar bear print is from an old Charley Harper weekly calendar that I had. I trimmed up all the pictures and have a few out here and there. They have such a nice graphic quality. The raincloud print is from Tiny Sparks Design. I also have another print of theirs in the hallway. I think at some point I was going to put the rainclouds in the kitchen but obviously, it hasn't made it there quite yet.

I really need to dust. Ugh.
