Thifting Thursday

I have a few things I've found while out thrift shopping over the years. I know, you all are positively shocked to hear this. It's like a treasure hunt to me. However, sometimes I don't have a good idea of how the newest "treasure" is going to fit into the whole scheme of my life. Sometimes my Pyrex addiction gets the better of me and I buy it because it is there. I'm trying to be a bit more discerning in my piddly little purchases. If I bought less of the piddly then all of that money would add up to something more substantial that would be more practical than another super cute but unnecessary mug or my 20th milk glass vase. But whatever. It's still fun. And much less damaging to my bank account than retail therapy at Target or Macy's.
There are actually three thrifted things in these photos but I'm concentrating on the bird today.

It comes apart and holds things for me. I've used it for a candy dish. Peanut M&Ms anyone?
