I had a bad dream last night - almost to the point of waking up sobbing - due to the lack of a car. Truthfully it was more about disappointing people because I couldn't get to them when I needed to, had promised to, because I didn't have a good means of transportation. I feel as if I'm getting to the end of the large purchase staples that I've had in my apartment - toilet paper, cat food, cat litter. The things I usually get at Target and then slowly haul up to the apartment. But I haven't been for three weeks because of the car-lessness. It's just hard to carry a 25 lb box of cat litter up 3.5 flights of stairs, much less haul it onto a bus or the train. But it's getting near the end. I need to figure that all out if I'm going to be without personal transportation. What I do know is that this is not going to be fun.At least it was a beautiful morning to wait on the train.

Being carless is awful. I know how you feel. At least in the city you can get from point A to point B.... But hauling home stuff on the bus or train would suck.
Hope you are mobile soon.
Peapod! I think it would be worth it.

i'm sorry you have to stress about something as basic as transportation.
in my extreme hickishness i dream of living in a big city where i don't have to mess with a car or car insurance. i guess it's not that easy?
ps) my bro woke up in Chitown this am. he's at the monaco if you want to pop in on him. :) Dan isn't around there still, is he?
(yes, i'm supposed to be there too but since my kids start school tomorrow.... don't worry, i'll get photos up for you as soon as i get them on the bus.)
