Quite enough already

Right now there are ice pellets or sleet or freezing rain falling from the sky. Snow comes a little later. This ice stuff has been falling since last night before I left for home. I was somehow gathering slushy icy mess under my shoes as I walked so I would have to stop periodically to scrape off the bottom of my shoes.

Monday it was eerily foggy. I loved it though. The air smelled wet and cool and I kept wishing I had better lung capacity so that could keep breathing in instead of having to exhale. I think in a way it reminded me of standing over my grandma's enormous humidifier breathing deeply.

Sunday during the Superbowl it snowed like three or four inches in that short time. It was heavy, wet snow too. None of the light fluffy stuff of which skiers dream. Great for making snowmen though. And walking through, once I had realized my feet would be soaked through despite my attempts to be careful. It was pretty. But turned to annoying mush with the rain of Monday.
And now, with the sleet/rain/snow combination, there are massive puddles of slushy yick. Everywhere.

The forecast isn't encouraging either. We've just canceled our classes for tonight and I just might leave early.

I'm so less than enthusiastic about the digging out that will need to transpire in the morning in order for me to use my vehicle.

Sigh...
