The Poppies!

For. Ever.
I have wanted poppies in my yard forever. Well, since I was sort of grown up. Imagine my giddiness when I happened upon a few plants growing in the side yard that looked suspiciously like poppy plants I had seen from afar. But, I thought, that would be too good to be true. Iris, peonies, and poppies? I mean, they look all prickly and stuff. Maybe someone has a thing for those thistles that grow in Colorado. Also prickly. And, never having really had poppies, wasn't competely sure what they looked like.
And then they bloomed!
And I was so happy! Because they're Beautiful!
